FAQ

Have questions? You’ve come to the right place! With such a new and sometimes controversial topic, everyone will have questions. And a lot of them… Here you’ll find answers to everything you need to know, straight and to the point. The diddle way. Let’s dive in!

It is no secret that people like to have fun. It is also no secret that people enjoy exploring different ways and techniques to have fun in the bedroom. Well…other places too! The stigma associated with adult toys are long gone, and more and more people are using and experimenting with different toys. Some work great, while others just don’t do it for you. You end up with a pristine toy, maybe used only a few times, now taking up space in the back of your drawer. Sell it on diddle and use the cash to try something different!

This is surely your biggest concern, and rightly so. At diddle this is our number one priority, and something we will never compromise on. We will not approve any listing where the seller did not explicitly confirm that the prescribed sterilization procedure was done, prior to shipping the item to the buyer. We also require the buyer to follow the exact same sterilization procedure upon receiving the item, before finalizing the transaction.

The process of sterilization kills all forms of life, which includes amongst others, fungi, spores, and bacteria. It is the highest level of cleansing, and far outperforms other methods like sanitization, disinfection, and normal washing. Medical instruments used in theaters must be sterilized, including items such as endoscopes used multiple times on different patients. Steam is widely used for this process, but other methods are also used, especially on materials not able to withstand steam sterilization.

Both the seller and buyer are required to sterilize the toy and must commit to and confirm this during the transaction. It is mandatory that you follow these steps:

Wash the toy with a mild soap and warm water, and rinse well.
Use a high-quality adult toy cleaner to thoroughly clean the toy, and rinse with clean water.
For toys without batteries which is non-motorized, place in a pot of boiling water for at least 3 minutes.
For motorized and battery-operated toys, submerse in a 20% bleach solution for at least 10 minutes.
Rinse very thoroughly with clean water to ensure your toy is free from any bleach and other cleaning solutions.
Air dry your toy thoroughly (at least for a day) before packaging it or using it.

It is your responsibility to know if your toy is waterproof or splashproof, or any other info relating to your toy as described by the manufacturer. In all fairness, you should be an adult when owning an adult toy, so please know that you need to educate yourself on what you should and should not do when handling and cleaning your toy. Diddle won’t accept any responsibility if you boil your motorized toy into a useless display piece. Refer to your toy’s manual to carefully determine if you can submerse it, or if it’s only splashproof. Non submersible toys can the sprayed with a 20% bleach solution, repeated 4 times as it dries. Keep the toy damp with the spray solution for at least 15 minutes.
